About Our Artists:
KATHLEEN PATRICK is a highly collected artist with both corporate and private collectors around the world. She has been represented by several major galleries in Southern California and has exhibited her work in the Chicagoland area for over ten years.
Ms. Patrick's works appear in the collections of Gucci, the Bank of America, the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin to name a few. Her works hang in the Sears Tower, the John Hancock and many other major buildings in the area.
She includes among her influences the color and freedom of Chagall, the energy and passion of Van Gogh, and the spatial collage of time and space of Picasso.
Ms. Patrick is best known for her urban scenes, whether wildly colored, energy filled abstracts or highly imaginative cityscapes. Her work strikes a balance between likeness and abstraction. These highly abstract works often contain some pictorial reference to cities and the cityscapes frequently exhibit whole areas which read as abstracts. This creates a scale and a continuum of abstraction/representation intrinsic to the works of this artist.
JOSEPH CATANZARO is the recipient of several college scholarships and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing. Painting originally in oils, the artist spent five years researching the materials and techniques of artists such as DaVinci and Rembrandt. Working with oil glazes, he fastidiously spent months on each painting, developing images, layer upon layer, and creating glowing rich colors. He brings this same devotion to his current works in acrylics.
Mr. Catanzaro lists Pablo Picasso and Mark Rothko as his modern stylistic influence. From Picasso, also comes the practice of working in several styles at once, thus maximizing his creativity and expressions of ideas.
Characteristic to all of this artist's work is a simplified graphic quality and quiet reflective mood.
Mr. Catanzaro's work has been highlighted in several one-man shows in the midwest and numerous international and juried shows. His collectors span the globe.
In addition to the works available, we offer custom works to enhance your home or commercial setting. For any painting seen online, the artist can create a customized work in that series for you, to your color needs and size. The artist works closely with you
to make certain the painting is perfect or your money back. Digital photos of the finished painting are sent to your email for your approval before shipping. Prices for a custom work are only 20-30% more than the works listed in that series of a similar or same size. Custom works are generally done within 3 weeks.
All the paintings we offer are acrylics on canvas, which provide superior lightfastness and brilliant color. The paintings extend around the 1 1/2" sides so no framing is necessary and are ready to hang as is.
For over a decade, we have provided both young professionals and families, who have never purchased an original artwork, to join the lifelong collectors who have made owning fine art "a must". We continue to provide works that are both compelling to the eye and soul, as well as, accessibly priced.
